What Causes Bleeding And Brown Spot After Undergoing Tonsillectomy?

I m 11 days post-op from my tonsillectomy, and 3 days post op from a surgery to stop some bleeding. There s a brown/black spot about 1/4 centimeter in diameter on the right side, where I had a bleeding issue. Is this a blood clot, or just stained tissue?
