What Causes Bleeding And Some Pain During Intercourse After Smear Test?

I'm 32 yr old, 5"6, weight is 12st 12, I've had two previous treatments for abnormal smear test results - 12 and 7 yrs ago, I had a miscarriage in 2000, a daughter in 2006 and an ectopic pregnancy in 2008. I had a smear test 3 days ago, it felt uncomfortable and I had a small about of bleeding for about an hour afterwards. However since the smear test I experience bleeding and some pain during intercourse. Should I be concerned about this and book an appointment with my GP or should I wait (if so how long) to see if things calm down?
