What Causes Bleeding Between Periods With Pain?

I have been bleeding inbetween periods, I have an aching pain on my right side and this has now lasted seven days, continous bleeding but not heavy and very much the same as a period. I need to urinate alot. I have been to see GP who asked me to go in for smear but can't get an appointment until 8th of march. I'm very concerned I have cervical cancer. I am 28yrs old use no contraception and never have. I am not sexually active and had a clear smear test two years ago.
