What Causes Bleeding From Ears In Children?

My daughter was in a MVA two weeks ago where she took a windshield out with her head. a nurse friend observed her for a few hours. She saw our regular doctor just a few days after. But last night she started bleeding from her ear. We took her to the local ER they said it was not related to the accident. But I am worried.
