What Causes Bleeding From Groin Area?

Hi, I just recently visited the toilet and upon touching my groin area, I found my fingers covered in bright red blood. I took a handful of toilet paper and wiped. Took another and wiped again. Both were fully covered on the surface, not soaked through. Should I worry about this much blood coming from what I assume to be spot?
