What Causes Bleeding In Reconstructed Ear?

My daughter was attacked by a dog when she was 5, it ripped off her right ear but it was reconstructed. She is now 17 and has a cold but not as bad. She coffed tonight and now that ear is bleading! What should I do and should I take her to a hospital? Please advise. Thank you.
