What Causes Bleeding When Having Bowel Movement?

Hi. I'm a 31 with one child and not on and birth control. I have a period every 3 weeks. 2 days before my Period is due, when having bowel movement I have a little spotting. Just wondering what could be the causing the spotting. I've had an STI check, blood test and they came back normal.
