What Causes Blood In Diarrhoea Despite Treatment For Ulcerous Colitis?

I am 55 and I have Ulcerous Colitis. My doctor has been trying to figure out what he can do to relieve my symtoms. I have been taking Perrigo Mesalamine Rectal Suspension USP Enemas for 6 weeks now and I am also taking Balsalazide Disodium as prescribed by my doctor, but I still have bloody diaharia. Please advise any thing that may help me get better. Thanks
