What Causes Blood In Stool Of Infants?

My son is 10 weeks old and has been having light red blood in his stool. I am exclusively breastfeeding. We had his stool tested and reducing substance is at a 3. What can I do to lower this and is my baby seriously being harmed by this? If he continues to have the reducing substance in his stool what can it do to my baby?
