What Causes Blood In Urine On Removal Of Stent From The Urethra?

Hi I am a 33 year old male, I had a ureterscopy last week and was told to remove my stent on Sunday morning. I did so in the shower at 7:30 am. I am still experiencing moderate pain (a 8 on the pain scale) it come on quickly and last up to 8-9 hours. I also am seeing fresh blood when I pee. Sometime it comes out harder than regular constancy and can happen while peeing before or after. Is this normal or should I go back to the ER??
