What Causes Bluish Tint In Sclera Of Eyes?

Hi. I have a question about one of my students. He asked if there was anything wrong with his eyes. He has a few spots of bluish tint in the sclerae of both eyes. I believe that it is a benign finding, but was looking for a possible reason for the discoloration.
