What Causes Blurred Vision Along With Loss Of Balance And Muffled Hearing?

Hi I've had about 6 episodes of blurred vision suddenly and lots of front lobe pressure in the last 4-6 weeks.The last episode was more severe with new symptoms added of muffled hearing and loss of balance. I also don't recall my husband rubbing my face with wet cloth on this last episode. However I haven't ever completely lost consciousness. If I'm able to lie down this seems to help.

I went to GP doctor on Friday. She referred me to neurologist with diagnosis vasovagal syncope. Neurologist can't see me until 2/17th. What can I do in interim to possibly not have another episode or stroke even, if it's TIA, which doc mentioned. Any advise would help. I am 46 yr female with diabetes and blod sugar average 119fasting. I am on metformin 2000mg, glimepride 8 mg, lisinopril 5mg (per day).
