What Causes Blurred Vision While On Metronidazole?

I was on metronidazole 800 mg twice a day for 7 days. I m experiencing blurred vision and seeing halos around lights at night. I ve been off it for a week now. The changes in vision started after the 4th or 5th day on the mediciation. Will they go away on their own?
