What Causes Blurred Vision?

My eye appears to have a long black fuzzy looking object when I m looking out my left eye. Doesn t appear to have anything in it, I m not filling anything! Was told it s a busted blood vessel by a pharmacist and that it s like a bruise and shod get better in a few days, if not see the eye doc :( just started to appear a day ago and is a little worse today! What or is there something I can do at home to help before I have to spend money I don t have right now !? I do wear makeup daily and wash my eyes! I have no idea how it happened! I didn t sneeze or cough excessively hard either!
