What Causes Body Chill After A Heart Attack?

My husband had a heart attack and a stroke five years ago, he has spent the last 2/3 days in bed saying he feels he s got a cold, is it likely it could be more to do with his condition, the heart attack and stroke were caused by him being diagnosed to late with endocarditis .
