What Causes Bouts Of Clotted Bleeding And Severe Pain?

Hi. I am 46 and this month I am on my third bout of bleeding. I have severe pain and it is black looking when I wipe with a rich red blood as well. Clot in the toilet was vibrant red and about a half dollar size maybe a bit bigger. Is this okay? To have this many and the amount of blood loss for just one month alone...
