What Causes Brain Fog Post Injury?

I fell on the ice and bruised my tail bone and hit my head. I was wearing a ski hat at the time so I think my symptoms would be worse. As it is, the back of my head feels like it has something in it and I have been feeling foggy starting an hour after it happened, up to now.
