What Causes Breaking Up Of Voice Post Emotional Trauma?

I have emotional problems at the moment following a divorce and a bipola 2 diognosis i started loosing my voice in November and went to my gp who said i had a throat infection. i was given antibiotics. i am still experiencing a crocky voice when i talk but have no symptoms of a sore throat, I wondered whether it was just the infection that has not gone or whether its something else?
