What Causes Breast Pain Near The Nipple With Heaviness And Soreness?

hello i am 24 yrs old and i am having sharp pain on my left breast, on the side of it nearing the nipple area, and my breasts in general seems to be heavier, maybe because i am getting my period soon. So when I do touch it it seems to feel sore....please help me
