What Causes Bright Red Vaginal Bleeding?

But originally I was told I needed a laporoscopy then I was told I needed an endoscopy done to see what the problem is but the last dr that saw me said ultra sound. This morning I woke up in worse pain that what I was in labor (I began contracting with my daughter at 21 weeks) accompanied with bright red bleeding, the pain takes all of my strength away. What is this?
