Hi, I have been seeing one large floater now for a little over 6 months and I was told it was due to jra, which I was diagnosed with at age 4, i am now 35. The doctor also told me sometimes with age the eye changes and seeing floaters are normal (6 months ago). Last week I started seeing huge bright white flashes in my Peripheral vision, same eye as the floater. I went in immediately and was not given a diagnosis but told not to worry, and that I have inflammation, scarring and debris in my eye. I am scheduled to go again Monday and was not given any medication. As of now I think I am getting used to the flash, but I am having increases bleary vision and in low light it is very hard to see details out of my eye. The loss of details in low light was sudden and very scary, it felt noticeably different than how I normally view. I have been researching online trying to find a name for that this could be. I feel like I cant trust my vision and I feel scared. The white flash makes me feel nervous and confused. One more thing, when I went to my appointment 6 months ago the doctor said that he did not want me to start on steroid eye drops because of the side effects, but he did not give me a name for what is happening. I think from what I have read online it might be Uveitis, does this sound right? If so does it go away on its own?
