What Causes Brown Mark On Eye?

theres a tiny brown mark on the white part of my eye i did have last year and got sometime this year. i dont know how it came, i just noticed one time i looked in the mirror. Am i too close to the TV, did i physically injure my eye, am i too close to heat when i cook food or is it a medical condition .
