What Causes Brown Patch In Neck After Shaving?

Hi, I am a female and I have really embarrassing hair on my neck. Since, I have no other option I had to shave the hair off and what happened after the shave was that I always get a stubble on brown patch on where the hair grows. My neck looks very embarrassing and I do not know what to do.
