What Causes Brown Patches On Hands And Palms Of Child?

My daughter who is 4 just started getting brown patches on her hands and her palms when she gets up in the morning. This just started happening about 2 days ago. She has been having some fruit from one of those fruit trays at night, could fruit somehow cause skin to turn brown?
