What Causes Brown Spot On Penile Tip?

I have noticed a light brown spot about 2 weeks ago on the top of my penis about mid ways between the scrotum and the head,I am married and have had no other sexual partners,it is a little sore to the touch,should I see a dermatologist or just my doctor,or should I be concerned? Thank you
