What Causes Brown Spotting Instead Of Regular Periods And Stomach Bloating?

I think I may be 8 weeks pregnant.... I had a strange period last month (bleeding one day and then nothing) and now this month I have missed my period. I feel like my belly is swollen and now I have brown, stringy discharge.... when I go to the bathroom.
