What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge During Menstrual Period?

hi, five days back was my fourth day of period and from then on i am having a brown discharge everyday till now along with itching.i dont know if the itching is because of the discharge.i had this itching problem during my periods also. one more thing i shaved with a razor before my periods.can i get any clue why this itching and brown discharge.also to note this is the first period after an abortion last month which happened when i was 8 weeks preg
