What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge Post Birth Control Pill Withdrawal?

Hi I came off birth control a few weeks ago. I had my withdrawal bleed then when this finished, a few days later, I started getting a light brown discharge every day for the last week or so. I have been having unprotected sex. Could the brown discharge be a symptom of coming off the pill?
