What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge While On Depo Shot?

ive been on depo for ten years straight never had a period the whole time and then the other night woke up with sever pain went washroom and blood dark red clooty groose then was just brown the next couple days and then was gone until today and is brown clotty and red and pink?? wondering if i should be concerned?
