What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge?

a couple nights ago, it seemed out of nowhere, i experienced severe cramps. they felt like severe menstrual cramps, but i'm not on my period. I had my period a couple weeks ago and i'm not due for another period for a couple more weeks. not only did i have the severe cramps, i got the chills and i was shaking a little. I was also felt like i could throw up. I went to the bathroom and i had diaherrea. After the diaherrea i felt better, but, I had a brown like discharge come out of my vagina. and i know that it came from the vagina because i am still having this brown like discharge. I am a little worried and concerned. the discharge doesn't smell and i don't have any itching. whats going on with me.
