What Causes Brown Vaginal Spotting On Taking Plan B Post Unprotected Sex?

Okay so last week my boyfriend and I had intercourse, at that time the condom has broke, it was a 3 days after my period. I took a plan B pill since I'm not on birth control ,but I start this Monday. Today I went to use the restroom and there was brown period like stuff in my panties.. Help?
