What Causes Brownish Clotty Vaginal Bleeding During 9th Week Of Pregnancy?

Hi my wife is 9 week pregnant but four days before she started bleeding with brownish clots and two days before over bleeding and my doctor suggested her to take dubagest 300 in night daily for 10 days and susten 100 in morning daily and foly gel in afternoon is it good for her... Our Doctor asked Rescan will take on coming 8th.
Am very confused and sad.
