What Causes Brownish Discharge After Intercourse?

i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend last nite an when i got out of bed in the morning there was brown discharge on the bed sheets i also had some brownis orange discharge through the day which has gone now, was the discharge from me or could it have been from my boyfriends semen? it had no odour and was quite thick please help!!!
