What Causes Brownish Discharge After Menstruation?

Hi I finished my period last week Wednesday there wasn't much blood and for 3 days after I had a brown discharge I still have a little brown discharge but very light so I did the dettol pregnancy test and it divided like water and oil... please help how accurate is it???
