What Causes Brownish Discharge During Menstruation?

Hello i am 21 years old and i just had a baby he is 4 months old i had my period on the 25th. me and my boyfriend have unpretected sex, but use the pull out method, i do no that it is unsafe practise. last night i have come to find that i started bleeding again brown clumpy with light pink colors what could that mean?
