What Causes Brownish Red Vaginal Discharge?

i had my period on the 1st of may then it ended on the 4th and on the 9th of may i started bleeding a brownish-red color and its gone on and off for the last 10days and i have had sex with my husband in that time. i don't no whats going on. can you help me
