What Causes Brownish Vaginal Discharge After Intercourse?

My boyfriend fingered me yesterday and when he pulled out there was blood on his hands. We were unsure where it came from but we thought he had popped my cherry,I'm still not sure whether he has but this morning I had brownish coloured discharge and throughout the day I had normal discharge but I can smell an odor not sure what that is either.. Any ideas ?
