What Causes Bruise On Penis After Intercourse?

The tip of my penis feels bruised after sex with my wife a couple of weeks ago. I thought I may have torn the frenulum but can not see any cuts. It was ok after a week but after masturbating it feels bruised again. The banjo string feels a little sensitive and sometimes when I pee it feels a little sore inside as well. I am not circumsised. Is this just bruising or is there a more serious problem I should see an urologist about? If not any idea how long I should avoid sexual activity? Thanks!
