What Causes Bruised Ribs And Body Ache After An Injury?

Fell down about 6 steps 22 hours ago. My foot slipped I fell backwards and skid down the steps. My body ached a bit yesterday but worse today. Really only my back yesterday, today my ribs feel bruised. And everywhere else. I feel like I was in a car accident. Of course I m going to hurt but what are the chances of internal bleeding?
