What Causes Bruising Along With Cramps In The Calf Muscles?

I am not sure if I should go back and see my primary care physician. I had a lot of leg cramps/charlie horses for a few months right leg, they subsided, then I had large bruises on same leg by calf where was getting the cramping - below and above knee inside area. (also had a cortizone shot in that knee a month or two before the bruises appeared) Took about a month or so, and I have had coughing, and pressure on chest same side (it has been very cold here though) but no other real cold symptoms, xray showed clear lungs. I also have had swelling inside my elbow area on right side.
