What Causes Bruising And Swelling Of Penis After An Injury?

My son smashed his penis in the toilet lid and it is bleeding from the Urethral opening. The glans penis is bruised and swollen. He also has two red dots located at the base of the penis, next to the scrotum. While I understand that Penile Fracture happens when the penis is erect, can my son still have his tunica albuginea tear from this mishap?
