What Causes Bruising In Chest Bone Along With Difficulty In Breathing?

A large piece of beef got stuck in my throat, it move down to the chest area and I was given an injection to help relax the muscles. I now feel really bruised inside and hurts when I breathe. How long will this last and is there anything I can do to speed up the healing?
