What Causes Bump On Upper Thigh Area With Dark Dot In Center?

hey, I have a big bump on my upper thigh area with a tiny dark dot in the center. If I feel around it it feels hard. I've had an ingrown hair before and I had to get it removed by the doctor, but if this is what it is this time I don't want to have to go in again or every time I get an ingrown hair because this is my second one in less than two months. If I do nothing will it just go away?
