What Causes Bumps On Roof Of Mouth Post Injury?

I'm wondering if the roof of your mouth changes o'er if tooth lose can affect it? My doc. Looked in my mouth and asked if it was always like that? I felt it with my tongue and wasn't sure. I have been in a few car accident s once hitting my face on the stearing wheel so hard that I bent it but only had a small bruise for a few days.and sorta looked like a duck.could that have caused it to get a large lump up there? When I was at the dentist h3 said he would have to g4ind the 4oof of my mouth down to be abl3 to get parctial to fit right? I also kinda wonder if there is t2o holes in the roof of ur mouth cause in mine it feels like there is one on ei5her side of that bump and carrots jelley beans and licorice all get stuck in there. My dentist said there is no hoels but I have to snort my nose to get them back out ofmy nose like in the back of y throat. I know there is w holes going up there.is it no4!all 5o grind the roof down?
