What Causes Bumps On The Labia Minora And Majora?

on area between labia minora and majora there are little bumps that look rather like thin folds of flesh. it hurts a little when i touch it and they are clumped in one spot. i did not have it before. i did have few slits (cuts?) in that area that was caused while having intercourse. what can these be? it looks so ugly, is there anyway i can remove it?
