What Causes Burning And Bleeding In Eyes?

I woke up with gooey stuff and crust in eyes bloodshot and glossy looking with partial burning a little behind my eyelids, able to see fine but saw I bled through my tear ducts a little, thought it was pinkeye but doesn t look like photos online Google I found. Any ideas what caused this and what this is?
