What Causes Burning And Cracking Of Lips?

I am having my 3rd episode of swollen(looked like bad botox job) burning,itchy lips this month, the swelling comes along with cracked weeping skin on my lips. Benadrly seemed to relieve the itch and swelling, I also put cortisone cream on my lips (is this ok?) some relief but burning and dry cracked feeling still present, they have never fully healed inbetween episodes. Could this be an allergy? the only thing in common is the 1st 2 times I had tomatoe products made with tomatoes fro the garden, but this last time I did not only thing i had which i had not had in a while was cantalope. Please help I have not kissed my husband or children in a month!!!
