What Causes Burning And Globus Sensation In The Throat?

I had a feeling in my throat that felt like tonsilitis, went to doctor and got one week of antibitiotics, it did nothing. the next week I had trouble swallowing so the doc gave me a compound mouthwash to swallowa nd also pain meds and prednisone for 10 days. I still have the lump type feeling but can swallow food okay and there is somewhat a burning sensation. I have taken antacids and it does not seem to help long at all
. I was never tested for strep during all this, so can you give me some advice or help to know what might be going on.
