What Causes Burning Genitals With Hernia Like Pain In Inner Thigh?

Last week out of the blue my boyfriend got a pain in his inner thigh that lead up into his genital area, he thought it was a hernia. A few days after, he noticed a small scab on the underside of the shaft of his penis, which burned a little. The burning also happens after sex, and he says that sometimes his genitals will just hurt/burn at random.The scab went away after about 3 days, but the hernia like pain and burning are still present. I have not been experiencing any pain or burning after sex in my vaginal area. We are both each others first and only sexual partner s (100% sure) and have no STDS. The only thing we could think of that might be the cause is his New body wash. Were both concerned and are looking for some answers/advice. Thank you!
