What Causes Burning Sensation After Intercourse When On Urinary Pain Reliever?

my husband who is in very good shape and incredible cardio shape continues to have burning sensation after sex. He takes uniary pill pain reliever over the counter all the time. What could this be? should be worried? It has been happening for 3 years and I am worried.
